You Needed A Census To Tell You This?

Tell me, what other things do you think a Utah census would turn up?

Sometimes we just need numbers to confirm what we already know.

The other night, at a small party, the host asked if we my husband and I were still "practicing Mormons". When I said no her husband looked over at her (and I) and said, 'Well, if they were, they'd have a bunch more kids by now!'.

They, and the article, hit the stereotype right on the head (or is it no longer a stereotype....)

Molly,

I agree with your sentiment. What I'd like for you to do, though, is discuss what you think these socio-religious tendencies do to families, the community, and the nation as a whole. For example, how does marrying early and having lots of children relate to Utah being the highest in per-capita bankruptcy, home forclosures, and prescription antidepressant usage?

Also, as an aside, I found a great blog you might be keenly interested in. Your namesake can be found at http://modernmollymormon.blogspot.com/
